So, this weekend was one of work which I guess isn't surprising given that it was Labor Day weekend. My project, paint the spare room.
It needs it too. Desperately! When we moved in six years ago I had DH put up a chair-rail and I painted above it slate grey and below bright white. I had a plan, honestly but it just failed to materialize. And so it sat like that, unloved and unused until this weekend. So, after a weekend of hard-graft there are now three linen-cream walls and one chocolate brown wall. That is just stage one in a master plan that will turn the room into my own scribal retreat where I can work peacefully without having to clean up at the end of the day.
If he can have "the man cave" then I can have my "art studio"!
Stage two involves shelving for my quickly growing collection of books and a scribal desk so I have a place to work. Once these things are done then I'll post before and after pictures.
And why the title to this post? When I was a kid mum used to make us a powdered chocolate desert called Angel Delight, the chocolate brown paint is EXACTLY the same colour in the can and it reminded me of the fluffy mousse.
